FAQ's

Do I need any experience of yoga to join the classes?

No, we welcome all level of practitioners. Some classes are level graded for Beginners, Intermediate or Advanced levels.

What do I need to do to enrol for the yoga classes?

Simply fill in the online registration form. If you have specific queries, it is best to contact the relevant instructor first.

What do I need to bring and wear to the class?

Please bring a Yoga mat if you have one. If not, it is generally possible to purchase one at the classes. It is also useful to have a block or cushion, and a shawl. Please also wear light clothing.

How much of a gap should I leave between having a meal and attending a yoga class or therapy session?

It is generally advisable to leave at least three hours after a full meal, two hours after a light meal and half an hour after a snack.

Can we come to the class as a couple or with another family member?

Yes and this is encouraged. Our experience has shown this to be very beneficial for the quality of relationship between the participants and of course it will vary from person to person.

I am not at all flexible, can I still join?

Yes, in fact Yoga is very good for gentle stretching while respecting natural limits and is therefore ideal for improving flexibility.

I have a back problem can I still do yoga?

For any medical condition please seek medical advice. On the whole, Yoga can help with most conditions if practised with care and caution. Please inform the instructor before joining the class.

Will yoga help me to lose weight?

It can do, as it tones up the body and enhances mental clarity which generally assists in an improved lifestyle.

I am pregnant – can I still do yoga?

We offer yoga for pregnancy. We recommend starting Antenatal yoga sessions after 15 weeks gestation.

What is the size of the class?

This is venue and class day/time dependent. Generally our classes range from between 8 and 20 people.

Can I join the yoga programme after the term has started?

This is usually possible, space permitting, and at the discretion of the instructor.

Do you offer drop-in classes?

Some of our instructors do. Please enquire.

If I can’t make it to all the classes, will I be reimbursed?

If you can’t make a session, it can be made up by attending any other classes offered by the same instructor, ideally within the same week or anytime during the term. Please check with the instructor.

Do you have ladies only classes?

Do you have any children classes?

Not at the present moment. You can contact  Darsak@yogadynamix.co.uk

Is religious faith necessary?

People from many religious traditions can and do practise yoga. Teachers will not promote a religious view point, however yoga is based in the Hindu tradition and some references may be made to the source of ideas or names of postures in order to clarify background detail.

Can personal/bespoke practices or therapy sessions be offered at my home?

For people who have particular difficulties of mobility this can at times be arranged depending on location and instructor. Please enquire.

Can I offer a personal yoga or therapy session as a gift?

Yes. Please request by email to info@oneshakti.co.uk

Is there a minimum period for cancellation notice for personal or bespoke sessions booking?

50% of the fee is charged for cancellation before 48 hours, otherwise full fee is charged.
